Colorectal cancer prevention

The Czech Republic occupies the leading place in the worldwide statistics of colorectal cancer incidence. Annually, 8,000 new cases of

colorectal cancer are detected in the Czech Republic and approximately 5,000 patients die from this disease every year (1). Preventing

this disease plays a major role in eliminating the risk factors, early diagnosis, detection of recurrence, and avoiding the sequelae of progressive

colorectal cancer. The article is a review study of primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary prevention of colorectal cancer.
